Can I embody the essence of a boy band as a tool for joy? The boy band is a tool of capitalism, is fabricated artificially and is harmful in many ways and yet it holds nuggets of pure connection. This is the kind of unbridled enthusiasm and zeal that most of us are too cool to surrender to. Can I peel away the layers of synthetic entertainment, explore the darkness, and expose expression that is liberated from gender binary, appropriation and abuse?
